Food and Agriculture Organization - FAO

Since 1952 the organization’s headquarters are located in Rome, Italy. FAO is the largest Specialized Organization of the United Nations by budget (Two-year-budget 2016-2017: approx. US$ 1 billion assessed contributions plus 1.5 billion US$ extrabudgetary contributions) and workforce (about 3400 staff and 8400 non-staff human resources).
Currently, 194 States plus the European Community are members of the FAO.
Since January 2012 José Graziano da Silva is Director-General.
